The American Lobster was completed on 10.19.2010. When visiting the new aquarium at the World Wildlife Zoo in Litchfield, Arizona I snapped a couple quick picks of this lobster, which I later decided to use as the basis for the illustration. I was unsure of the exact species, so I emailed the zoo and got a nice reply from the aquarium curator. When the drawing was completed I sent him a signed print to say 'thanks!'
