The Ball Python was completed on 1.24.2011. Serpents are always tricky for me. You must make sure you're able to render the scales symmetrically, with the patterns of the intersecting scale lines making sense to the eye. I think in part this faltered in this image, most notably on the part lowest on the drawing near the head, whereas it works on the area above and to the right.
The name of this snake comes from the snakes tendency to curl itself up into a ball when threatened. The Ball Python is a non-venomous reptile found in grasslands, savannahs and sparsely wooded areas of central Africa. It is the smallest of the African pythons, generally not growing larger than four feet in length, with the females being slightly larger than the males. They feed on small mammals such as rats, mice and other rodents. Because they don't grow to be too large and are relatively docile, they are very popular in the pet trade
