They are share a similar body type including a large head, short legs and body and a very distinctive fat tail that often ends in a small knob. These reptiles are native to the desert and bush areas of the central part of Australia. The Banded Knob-tailed gecko was the 2nd piece of art commissioned by my friend Roman, who is one of the top knob-tailed gecko breeder in the US. In fact, he is such a fan of these lizards he's commissioned other artists to create customized knob-tailed gecko art for him, which includes other drawings, paintings and even a realistic-looking sculpture.
