The is another 'redo' from an earlier drawing of a Bengal Tiger. As I've improved as an artist I've had three incarnations of a Bengal Tiger illustration. I've also redrawn the White Tiger and the Siberian as well. Seeing as they are some of the most beautiful animals on the planet tigers are without a doubt one of my favorite animals to draw. The drawing is based on a photo by Jim Stuart.
The Bengal or Royal Bengal Tiger is a subspecies of of the tiger family found mainly in Indian. But the tigers can also be found in Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan Myanmar and some parts of southern Tibet. Although endangered, it is the most common tiger subspecies. It lives in grasslands as well as tropical and subtropical rainforests. The males can grow up to 10 feet and weigh upwards of 600 pounds. The current population of Bengal Tigers in the wild is though to be between 1300-1500 cats.
