Information about the Cheetah:The Cheetah is found in sub-Saharan Africa and also in northern Iran. It is the fastest terrestrial mammal with a speed range up to 71 mph. The adult Cheetah weighs from 88 to 140 pounds. The cats usually live alone although sometimes males will travel with two or three others. The world's population of cheetah ranges from 9,000-12,000 animals. Recently, photos of very rare 'ghost' cheetahs - lightly colored with no spots - have been captured by motion detecting cameras in remote locations of Africa. | Description: Fine art illustration of a Cheetah. The cheetah was drawn a few years ago and the color added in 2007. I love the pose of the big cat, which really gives a good feel for the area they live in. The serious expressions that Cheetah have really comes across here. The drawing - especially the grass in the background - is perhaps a little flat, but I love the coloration of the cheetah itself.
