Information about the Green Iguana:The Green or Common Iguana is a large arboreal lizard that is native to Central and South America. It ranges as far north as Mexico. It is a herbivore. It is very popular as a pet, but as a result of released animals it has become an invasive species in many parts of the US. The Green Iguana drawing was completed on 10.7.2010. This drawing is a re-from an earlier illustration, from a photo done in a studio of an Iguana. I liked the pose, but it didn't look natural. I replaced that drawing with this image here. I feel this is more the way one would encounter these large reptiles in a typical setting. The drawing is based on a photo by Juan David Fernández
