This is a 're-do' from an earlier version. Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are pretty much the unofficial symbol for the rainforest I believe. I know of no other frog that has the same kind brilliant red eyes set against such beautiful green skin. In my waterfall terrarium I have a couple of them hanging around. Unfortunately, they are not active during the day and only start stirring after the sun goes down.
The Red-Eyed Tree Frog inhabit tropical areas where they can be found in the lowland rainforests particularly in areas close to streams and rivers. The frogs are excellent climbers and have suction-cup toes that help them attach themselves to the underside of leaves. The frog is well known for their huge, bright red eyes which are a possible adaption to nocturnality or defensive strategy.
