Information about the Siberian Tiger:The Siberian Tiger, also called the Amur, Altaic, Korean, North Chinese or Ussuri tiger, is a rare and critically endangered subspecies of tiger. Almost all wild Siberian tigers live the Amur region in the Southeast corner of Russia. They are the largest of the tiger species and can grow up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 700 lbs. The Siberian tiger preys primarily on wild boar and red deer, which make up 65-90% of its diet. These tigers are hunted for meat, their skins and their bones which are used in traditional Asian medicines, despite the fact that there is no scientific benefit from the tiger when used this way. | Description: Fine art illustration of a Siberian Tiger.
